Project history background
We are thrilled to share some exciting news as we have joined forces with Universities of Bath, Loughborough and Nottingham on a significant project, the “Made Smarter Innovation: Centre for People-Led Digitalisation.” This initiative, focusing on integrating people-centred approaches in digital manufacturing, is set to be transformative, backed by a substantial budget of £5 million and spanning until February 2025.
Exploring the project
At the heart of this collaboration is the recognition that the success of digital transformation in manufacturing hinges on prioritising people. The research project aims to develop solutions that not only advance technology but also enhance the capabilities and involvement of those who are integral to the industry.
A unique approach to digitalisation
The challenge in modernising manufacturing lies in addressing the human element of technology adoption. This project addresses critical areas such as narrowing the digital skills gap, aligning new technologies with human skills, and securing the commitment of both employees and management.
Workshops available to members in April and May
We at the Change Management Institute, in partnership with the University of Bath, are excited to invite you to a unique series of events focused on People-Led Digitalisation in the manufacturing sector.
