Our Commitment to Sustainability

As a professional body dedicated to advancing the practice of change management, we recognise the critical role we play in supporting our members in driving sustainability transformations. We will leverage our expertise in communication, influencing, stakeholder engagement, and behaviour change to aid businesses to achieve their sustainability goals.

Aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

We will support the following United Nations Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • Quality Education (SDG4): By providing our members with knowledge and skills necessary to effectively navigate the complexities of sustainability transitions.
  • Good Health and Wellbeing (SDG3): By promoting change management practices that foster healthier and more sustainable work environments.
  • Diversity (SDG 5 & 10): By championing diversity, inclusion, and equity within our organisation and the broader change management community.

Inspire Our Members

Through our events, thought leadership and networking, we will:

  • Create awareness: About the importance of sustainability and actions that can be taken to address environmental and social challenges in our practice.
  • Have a positive impact: By providing guidance and case studies on how to effectively engage stakeholders, influence decision-making, and implement change initiatives for business sustainability programs.

Ethical and Inclusive Practices

We will strive to create a diverse, inclusive, equitable, and healthy environment for all stakeholders. Our Diversity and Inclusion Roadmap, and our Code of Conduct outlines our commitment to treating our members, volunteers, employees, and partners with fairness, honesty, and respect.

Our priorities

Our actions have consequences for both people and the planet today and in the future. Therefore, we strive to explore and promote sustainable practices, including minimising our environmental footprint, among our members, volunteers, employees, and partners. We begin our sustainability efforts with this statement.  Our short term focus is on member-facing activities. For our volunteer and operations activities, we will be opportunistic to incorporate sustainability as we update and implement programs and processes.

By aligning our efforts with the SDGs, considering the long-term implications of our actions, and inspiring change, we aim to make a meaningful and positive contribution to a more sustainable future.

Review cycle

The Board have agreed to review this statement, and our progress, within 12-15 months of the approval date, aligned with our strategy development and policy review process.
