Helping People Thrive as the World Shifts
This Friday, 5 June, is World Environment Day. To mark it, one of our members, Neville Henderson, has shared a piece on a theme close to our work: helping people and organisations adapt when the way they operate has to shift.
The piece makes a point worth sharing. Big transitions are often treated as technical or strategic problems, when so much of the real work is helping people adapt, engage, and build resilience. These are exactly the skills Change Professionals bring every day.
As Charly Cox and Sarah Flynn note in Climate Change Coaching, the hardest part of any large transition is rarely the technology. It’s supporting people to try new things.
The takeaway is an encouraging one: you don’t need to wait for permission or take on everything at once. Focus on your circle of control and influence, bring your skills to the work already in front of you, take one step, and share what you learn.
This is just a taste of what Neville explores. Read the full article in our member hub.
