Announcing our new President and Board Chair: Karla Micallef

Karla Micallef – our new President and Board Chair

Change Management Institute is delighted to announce the appointment of Karla Micallef as our new President and Chair, effective December 4, 2024. Karla replaces Jane Judd, who is passing the baton as President and Chair after eight years. 

Karla is an experienced board member and transformation specialist, with a passion for strategy, change, portfolio, and program management. 

Karla’s first volunteer role with the Change Management Institute was in 2009. Since this time, Karla has been a Chapter Lead, Country Lead and has served on the Board for two terms. She is an Accredited Change Professional Master (ACPM). 

Karla will bring a strategic and collaborative approach, underpinned by 13 years of consulting experience, seven years in senior leadership roles and eight years in Non-Executive Director board roles. 

Karla has broad governance experience and is a Graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). She has also studied a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Business and holds other specialist qualifications in change, project management and leadership.

The Board has benefited greatly from her experience navigating governance and strategic changes.”  said Karla Micallef, incoming President and Chair. 

On behalf of our collective community, the Institute extend a heartfelt thank you to Jane for her leadership, passion, and contribution that led the Institute to expand its reach from members in 5 to 49 countries.  

We look forward to working with Jane as she continues to serve the Institute as a volunteer, helping innovate, design and evolve new ideas to deliver member value. 

As we embrace this new era, we are excited to continue to support our growing community and expand and evolve our offering with our incoming President Karla Micallef.

With experience from Financial Services, FMCG, Government and Retail, she has successfully led strategic, regulatory, technology, and people-led initiatives across multiple continents, including large-scale ERP implementations and organizational redesign projects.

    Her international experience has equipped her with a unique perspective on managing change in diverse cultural environments. She holds certifications in Prosci ADKAR, Prince2, and Managing Successful Programmes, and previously served as the UK Co-Lead of the Change Management Institute.
